Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
Highfield is a truly inclusive school. We encourage all children to develop their skills and interests to the full, whilst presenting them with opportunities to engage in activities which they might not have perhaps considered. We aim to avoid stereotyped perceptions to ensure that all pupils reach their potential.
Our SENDCo and Inclusion Lead is Mrs Dalgliesh who can be contacted by calling the school office on 0113 2930155 or emailing senco@highfield.leeds.sch.uk
Thank you to those who attended the coffee and chat session this week. We hope you found it useful. Please don’t worry if you weren’t able to attend, the slides from the session are attached.

Click here to access Leeds LA Local Offer, which provides information and support for children and young people with Special Educational Needs or who are Disabled (SEND). The Leeds Local Offer has two key purposes;
- To provide clear, comprehensive, accessible and up to date information about available provision and how to access it.
- To make provision more responsive to local needs and aspirations directly involving children and young people with SEND, their parents and carers and service providers in its development and review.
The Leeds Local Offer is not just a directory of services, it is the unique place where young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families can provide suggestions for improving services and for new services they need.
