In 2016 assessment arrangements changed in primary schools nationally. As this is a new testing system, the school's previous year's results  cannot be compared with 2016 results. When children take their SATs tests their scores are conveted to a scaled score around 100. A scaled score of 100 represents a child who is working at the correct level for their age.  Progress measures for schools are also now calculated in a different way. The progress score is an average score of all pupils within a school. A score of 0 represents excactly the expected amount of progress being made from the end of KS1. A score above, therefore, represents better than average progress and a minus score represents less than expected progress. For schools to be above the government floor target in 2016, progress scores had to be above -5 in Reading, -5 in Maths and -7 in Writing.
