Trip To Brodetsky primary school
Posted: Fri 21 Jan 2011 | Assemblies | Children
We had a very interesting day on Thurday, Mrs. Colley asked us to come with her to Brodetsky Primary School. We had a very interesting morning watching the Lord Mayor planting a tree in memory of Anne Frank. Anne Frank was a Jewish girl who died in the Holocaust.
We attended a morning assembly at the school which was quite different to ours.
All the children sat down and some of the teachers spoke and they did a singing assembly in Hebrew. Some students from year 6 did a speech and told us about Anne Frank (IT WAS VERY INTERESTING). After the assembly we went outside and watched the mayor plant the tree and listened to some more speeches about Anne Frank.
Next we had a tour around their outside classroom, as they call it. We saw some chickens and Charley and Mrs Colley went in to feed them. Ben didnt want to go in!
After that we went into the staffroom to have some biscuits and drinks.
We thought it would be a nice idea to plant a tree at school in memory of Anne Frank.
