Road safety day

Road safety day

Posted: Mon 25 Apr 2016   |   Children   |   Assemblies

This morning the Leeds Road Safety Team came to school to talk to us in assembly. They went to Recception to teach them how to, cross the road safely by holding a parent's hand. Next they went to year two to tell them how important it is to cross a road safely. They took them outside to teach them how to cross the roads. They also taught the year two's The Green Cross Code. Emily Turvey really enjoyed it and she said, "It was fun." Year four have done something similar and in two weeks time the team will be returning to do a transition to High School road safety day with all Year 6.  By Molly, Alex and Katie
